Staffing

My name is Sarah and I have taken over from Kelsey while she is on maternity leave, we wish her and her daughter well and look forward to welcoming her back around April next year. 

Laura is now on maternity leave, we wish her and the baby well she will return around April next year and we look forward to welcoming her back. 

Parental involvement                                                                                           

We would like to invite parents into the nursery to do activities with the children. This could be to help us celebrate special events from your own culture, do a cooking activity or simply to join in with your child’s favourite game. If you could spare an hour of your time please speak to either myself or a member of staff.

Tapestry 

If your child is new to the setting they will be added onto the Tapestry in the next few weeks, you will receive an activation email and you will need to create a username and password. If you have any questions please feel free to speak to me. Please check your junk mail just in case. The Tapestry is where we upload photos and observations of your child and track them into the EYFS. It is also important that you can add some observations and photos from home so we can link these too. 

Food payments

From this term, lunch and tea payments will need to be paid a week or month in advance, we will no longer be taking payments on the day. If the lunch/tea money is not paid in advance you will be asked to provide a packed lunch/tea for your child until payments have been paid.

Nursery fees                

Monthly nursery fees are due on or before the 28th of each month. If the payment is not received by the 5th of the month a charge of £50 will be added to your fees and will be added each month until the payment is made. If you would like to set up a standing order to ensure payments are received on time, please talk to a member of staff for a standing order form. Weekly fees are due on the Friday before or first day of the new week for those who pay weekly. If weekly payments are not received by the last day your child attends nursery each week a £10 will be added per week that the payment is late. I would like to remind you that normal charges apply for all absences this includes holidays, sickness, bank holidays, training days etc… Absences and holidays taken under two weeks do still need to be paid in full. Any holidays that are longer than two weeks, the third week is charged at 50% for example, if you are away for three weeks you will receive a 50% reduction from the third week only. Sibling discount is 10% on the eldest child.

Late collection fees   

May I remind everyone about late collection charges, if you are going be late picking up your child please ring 01895-436810 and let us know so we are able to arrange staff cover. The late charge is £10.00 for every fifteen minutes (or part of) which is payable on the day.  

  • For the safety of all children, please ensure that you shut the ENTRANCE DOOR when entering or leaving the building. Do not allow people you do not know into the nursery.

  • Under our safeguarding policies mobile phones / ipad's are not permitted to be used within the nursery whilst children are present; this applies to staff, parents and any other visitors.

  • From time to time it may be necessary that someone unknown to the nursery has to collect your child, if this is the case please ensure you let a member of staff know and please ensure you give staff and the other person a password, as we cannot let children go home with someone we don’t know. In addition, if the person is known to the nursery please let a member of staff know they are collecting your child.

  • For health and Safety reasons, can we ensure that we avoid bringing toys to the nursery from home. The nursery will not take any responsibility of any loss of toys.

  • I would like to remind all parents that if any of your contact details change could you please let us know, in case we need to contact you in an emergency.

  • Parking needs to be in the car park not outside main reception.

  • Please make sure you check the Nursery door for the Lunch and Tea Menu and other notices throughout the week, some of these may be very important.
